Andrew Belleson
Voice of Wrigley Field
“Ruggedly Smooth”
Andrew, a lifelong Cubs fan, graced the Cubs PA Booth for 10 years, serving as “The Voice of Wrigley Field.” He landed his dream job in 2011, beating out nearly 3,000 other applicants. Andrew played baseball for Concordia University Chicago in River Forest and broadcast for their football and basketball teams. During his teen years, he volunteered to help broadcast games for the Rockford RiverHawks, an independent minor league team. Announcing baseball is part of his DNA.
In 2022, Andrew returned to the booth to pursue his dream of becoming a Major League play-by-play broadcaster. He currently serves as a member of the Chicago Dogs Radio/TV broadcast team. The Dogs play in the American Association, an official Partner League of Major League Baseball.
Andrew is now the host of a brand new podcast entitled, “Outside the Box with Andrew Belleson,” in which he will venture outside the broadcast booth to go on-on-one with your favorite athletes and celebrities of today. Thought you knew your favorite stars true passions, hobbies and interests? Think again! Belleson gets to know your favorites, taking them (and you!) “Outside the Box.”
In the videos at the bottom of this page, Andrew interviews both Wrigley Field organist Gary Pressy and former Cubs pitcher Rick Sutcliffe. Among other things, Gary discusses his career and retirement after 33 seasons, and Rick discusses his broadcasting career after retiring from pitching.
Andrew joined the BallparkDJ booth as our 2nd announcer in June of 2018.
