Fade In and Fade Out
The fade-out and fade-in music options can be found in the Edit Music screen. The fading provides a smooth transition both into and out of the music and prevents hard starts and stops. Watch this video to learn more.
Fade-in can be especially effective when setting up the music to begin somewhere in the middle of the song, and not at the beginning of the song.
If you are using Apple Music, there are some special consideration with respect to music fading. When using Apple Music, the fading options require BallparkDJ to manually manipulate the volume of the device in order to simulate the fading effects. For this reason, the fade options require a minimum of 1 second, without voice, in order to complete successfully without fading the voice. Fade-in requires the music to start at least 1 second before voice, and fade-out requires music to end at least 1 second after voice.
Some Bluetooth speakers emit a beeping sound during the fade-out process with Apple Music. Also, some Bluetooth speakers simply don’t respond to this manipulation of the volume in order to simulate fade-out, and therefore don’t fade at all. If you are experiencing such a beep (or no fade-out at all), your best solution is to wire an auxiliary cord from your device to your speaker, eliminating Bluetooth and eliminating the beeping. You may also simply purchase the songs thru iTunes to eliminate the issue. (You can also consider using the Music Finish Sound Effects feature as an alternative to fade-out and continue to use Bluetooth, but the previous 2 solutions are recommended).
