Marysol Castro is a recovering journalist that happens to be a PA Announcer for the New York Mets. Since taking the post in 2018, Castro became the first female PA Announcer for the ball club and the first Latina PA Announcer in MLB. When she is not at Citi Field, Castro is a host of the 9am portion of the PIX 11 Morning News in NYC where she covers everything from sports to politics and pop culture. In her spare time Castro also hosts a food podcast CTbites Hotdish. In her extra spare time she runs a zone defense in her house as she is outnumbered by her two boys ages 14 and 17.
And in January 2019, Marysol was introduced as the first female voice of BallparkDJ.
