APRIL 2023
Introducing Larry Gardner!
In February 2023, Larry auditioned for the job of Atlanta Braves PA Announcer, along with over 500 other applicants. He made the final 10, and then the final 3, and was an overwhelming fan favorite, receiving 60% of the fan voting on Twitter. Ultimately, he was not chosen, but his talent was exposed to the world, and the Rome Braves and BallparkDJ noticed and acted. Larry now takes over the mic at AdventHealth Stadium. And while Larry won’t be heard at Truist Park, he will be heard at YOUR park through BallparkDJ. In March 2023, Larry became the 8th member of the talented BallparkDJ team of announcers. Please join me in welcoming Larry Gardner and his powerful voice to the BallparkDJ booth! You can read more about him here and check out the video to watch and listen to Larry in action.
BallparkDJ 16.6 with Bluetooth Assurance
BallparkDJ 16.6 is now available. An option titled Bluetooth Assurance has been added to the new System Settings screen available in the Actions menu. This option defaults to ON, and is intended to fix a issue certain users have experienced where their intros sometimes simply do not play (or play silently). This issue is specific to certain Bluetooth speakers (namely the Sonos Move), and only when Apple Music is involved. We are confident this will put this issue, along with a few other Bluetooth related issues, to rest. If 16.6 creates any new issues for you, please turn off Bluetooth Assurance in System Settings.

Soften Music During Voice - ALL Music
The option to Soften Music During Voice has been available for some time for iOS users using iTunes purchased music, or BallparkDJ Clips. But now, this option is available on both Android and iOS, and for ANY type of music. This option allows user to play the music at a higher level, and then soften the volume of the music during voice so that the voice is heard clearly over the music. This Soften Music option does cause some distortion of the voice when played from certain devices (notably iPhone 11 and iPhone XR).
