Ordering professional voicing from BallparkDJ is easy and AWESOME, and these considerations will help ensure your professional introductions are delivered exactly like you want them, the FIRST time.
Player Name Considerations
Enter first name into first name field, and last name into last name field
Enter name exactly as you want it voiced (“Will” instead of “William”, “Jones Jr” instead of “Jones”, etc)
Enter number into the number field, and as you want it voiced (00 = “Double Zero”. 0 is “Number Zero”. 1 is “Number 1”. 01 is “Number Zero One”)
If you want the numbers voiced as part of your intros (and most do), we recommend you wait until you know the numbers for all players before ordering to avoid unnecessary redos.
Use the + button to quickly add all your players. No need to voice names at this stage. You will be required to voice each player in a streamlined process later when ordering.
Enter names as the players spells them. Do not try to spell phonetically. Pronunciations will come through with your voicing which is required during the order process.
Team Name Considerations
Consider keeping the team name brief, or even eliminating it from Now Batting intros (“Now Batting for the Braves” instead of “Now Batting or the Johnson City Braves 8u”)
You will be able to communicate team name in the Special Instructions. Announcers will default to shorter team name, so if you really want a longer version, make that clear in Special Instructions.
You will always be required to voice the team name during the order process, just in case your introductions may involve the team name in any way.
Pronunciation Considerations
You will need to know how to pronounce each players name before ordering as you will be required to voice each player. Communicate with coaches, parents, or players to ensure you know proper pronunciations. Consider walking around practice and having parents or players voice their players names directly into BallparkDJ.
Clearly voice ONLY the first and last names to convey the pronunciations. Do not voice “Now Batting” or the players number, and there is no need to use your announcer voice. This is simply to convey proper pronunciation to the announcer.
Order Page Considerations/Decisions
Format Decisions (discussed above - keep team name brief)
If you get to the order page and realize you need to make a change of any form (players name, misspelling, team name, wrong number, etc), you can ALWAYS go back to BallparkDJ and make the edits needed, and then initiate the order process again from BallparkDJ.
You may convey any additional information needed to the announcer regarding your intros through the Special Instructions box.
DJ Codes
DJ Codes are distributed in to teams in organizations that purchase these codes in bulk for their league. If you were not given a DJ Code or are not familiar with DJ Codes, this does not apply to you and you can skip over this and submit your payment via CC).
Redos
Taking this list into consideration will help ensure the announcer gets your intros just right the first time, however…
…When you get your introductions back, and there are any issues with them, you can always request a redo for no additional charge. Issues include wrong number or name, mispronounced name, wrong format, etc.
Redos are available from the Actions menu, and available for 30 days after original order.
Please watch the Instructional Video on requesting voice redos.
