Voice and Music Icons (iOS Only)
This short video discusses the different variations of the Voice and Music Icons to the right of each player, and what each variation represents. With this knowledge, users can identify many of the voice and music details without digging deeper into the Edit Player, Edit Voice, and Edit Music screens. These variations reflect whether voice and music are setup, turned on, or turned off....as well as the source of the music (Pink Apple = Apple Music, White/Black Apple = iTunes Purchased, White/Black DJ = BallparkDJ Clip, and White/Black Cloud = External Source).
The Voice icon is a microphone. The Music icon is a musical note, and we're gonna talk about what different variations of those icons are telling you without you having to dig into the Edit Player or Edit Music or Edit Voice screens. And what I've done with this team is add players with names that reflect what I'm trying to show you with the Voice and Music icons. There are some subtle differences in the appearance of these icons between Dark Mode and Light Mode. First, we're gonna look at the Dark Mode and then we'll switch over and talk about the differences on the Light Mode. They're pretty much the same but there's some subtle differences.
So the first player, No Voice - No Music, the gray microphone icon signifies that you've never recorded voice for this player. No Voice intro is attached to this player. It's never been recorded. You never ordered professional voicing. And the gray Music note icon signifies that Music has not been set up on this player at all at this point. You may have added a player, you gave it a name, maybe added a number, but you haven't set up Voice or Music on this player. The second player, Voice On and Music On with Apple Music. So the gold microphone icon tells us that we've recorded Voice and that it's turned on. The blue musical note icon tells us that we have set up Music and it's turned on. Now let's talk about the Apple the pink apple at the upper right corner of the musical note icon. When it's pink like that, that means that song that you've used for this player has been downloaded through the Apple Music subscription. If you find a white apple at the upper right corner, that means the song was purchased through iTunes store or in some way you've moved that song over from your computer, maybe through iTunes, so you own that song. So pink apple is Apple Music. White Apple is an iTunes purchase song. The white DJ means it's a BallparkDJ clip, and the Cloud means it's an External Source. Because commonly that External Source is pulled down through the iCloud.
So if we go into the second player and click on Edit Music, you'll see the different sources. One button for iTunes and Apple Music. One for External Sources and one for BallparkDJ clips. And the third player Voice Off - Music Off Apple Music. You'll see we have the gray icons with the slashes through them, when it's gray and it has a slash through it, that means the the Voice and or the Music has been set up, but it's been turned Off. So if we go into that player, you'll see that the checkbox next to Voice and next to Music have been toggled off. But while we toggle them off, we do retain the underlying setting so you can turn it back on and everything will be in place when you turn it back on. And again, the pink apple means that Apple Music is what is being used for that player's song. And on the fourth player's, SuperVoice On - Music On iTunes. When you see the 3 microphones, the three gold microphones, that means SuperVoice is turned on for that player's voicing. That will occur if you order SuperVoice on your Gold team.
So each player that you get back on the Gold Team, you'll see the the triple gold microphones. And that means SuperVoice is turned on within the Edit Voice screen at the bottom right. And on that fourth player, the white Apple logo at the upper right corner of the musical note icon signifies that we're using that purchased iTunes song for that player. The fifth and sixth players both have Voice On and Music On. Fifth Player uses a BallparkDJ clip with that DJ icon at the upper right. And the Voice On Music On Sixth Player uses an external source with the cloud icon. So let's toggle over from Dark Mode to Light Mode, which you can do by simply swiping right on the BallparkDJ logo. At the top you'll see that the No Voice and the No Music icons are hollow, and the gray versions of the icons mean that Voice is Off or Music is Off. So you've set up Voice or Music, but you've toggled it off. And the only other difference is the color of the Apple DJ and the Cloud. They're black on white in Light Mode, and they're white on black in Dark Mode.
